Before I Die
This is a list of things I'd like to do before I die. It's a living list that I'll constantly update by adding, removing and editing elements. What you see here is just the start. I'm putting it up publicly so that I continue to add things I think of. Some things are extreme. Some are not. Either way, I need to get busy.
On the list:
see a huge iceberg crash off a glacier
visit africa
fly a plane solo
sail a boat solo on a multi-day trip
see the aurora borealis
run a marathon sub 3hr
run an ironman sub 10hr
qualify for ironman hawaii in an ironman distance event
drive length or width of australia... it's wild out there
run the western states 100 mile footrace
run the badwater 135 footrace
camp 3 nights or more solo in extreme cold and altitude
qualify for the top group in the peachtree and run top 100 overall in the race
speak in front of 5000 or more people
be on television
be on radio
start a business that grows to > 100 people
swim in devil’s pool at the top of victoria falls
take the family out on a camping trip
live for a month or more immersed in a non-english-speaking place
have something i've invented be awarded a patent
start a business with my wife
coach some sort of team that one of my daughters plays on
get over my needle phobia
survive in a remote, cold wilderness with minimal supplies for a month
circumnavigate the globe in a 3+ year journey going port to port, living on a boat
follow the tour de france in person, with bike, from start to finish
see a race at every formula 1 race track, preferably in a single season
Considering putting onto the list:
climb an 8000 meter peak
climb everest
orbit the earth
be cryogenicly frozen (not technically something to do before I die)
