Love the weekend. This one I'm planning on doing my first 100+ mile bike ride. Nothing too lofty... I'm not going to do it on a course with any hills... I'm heading out to the Sliver Comet. Probably on Saturday. Looking forward to a good long ride. On Sunday we'll head out to Villa Rica for the family breakfast. Looking forward to some biscuits and gravy! Yummy. Maybe some swimming in the pool with a video recorder (camcorder?). Want to check my form. And there should be some time to get some work done. Without all the phone calls. Not that I mind the calls, but they break my train of thought... however small a train that is. Weekends are nice. We have NASCAR on Sunday... Jimmie Johnson is leading the points race... which really doesn't mean that much given the new rules this season. The Tour de France will be putting out two more stages in Lance's quest for the sixth. The weather doesn't look too bad. After what seems like four weeks with one thundershower each day we seem to have broken free into some clear weather. Looking forward to the weekend. Adam Curry inspired this little frenzy of weekend love... yep... the MTV VJ is reincarnated as a blogger... has been for years... I've been reading him daily for a little over a year... he brings a good dose of European media perspective and writes about pretty much whatever he damn well pleases. Heather and I may head up to North Georgia to scout some wedding locs. I need to head to Niketown to pick up my Top 1000 Peachtree mug. Wouldn't mind making it to All 3 Sports, the best triathlon shop in the universe, to get some swimming trunks... my bike shorts have the unfortunate quality of coming down to half-crack height with my newly-learned flip turns. I don't mind but I think that others do. Thinking about the Louis Garneau non-nut-grabbing-but-still-short ones. Come to think of it... this is a lot of stuff... I hope the weekend doesn't get too hectic. Oh, but it always does. Gotta love the weekend!
