I'm still awake. Not sure why. Starting to feel tired but not ready to go to sleep. Remember that flat tire that my bike had after the Ironman? It was a mystery. I didn't remember hitting anything. Since the race the wheels have been off the bike and sitting on the downstairs office couch. A few days ago I inflated the flat one and overnight it deflated. Tonight I finally ripped the flat tire off of the disc. It was a glued tire so I had to rip all of the glue off. I inflated it, filled the downstairs bathtub and put it in. The leak was slow and it was at the valve. I played with the valve a bit and found that it was bent and not screwed in properly. I adjusted it and see no more bubbles. If it's still inflated tomorrow evening then I'll be convinced that it's fixed. Which is nice because the damn tires themselves cost over a hundred bucks each... and you generally can't repair flats. Oddly, I had a dream either last night or the night before about going to a race and not having an extra tire. In the dream I had to take the tire off and take it to all3sports where Patrick helped me with a new one. Odd. I guess tires are important to me. Who knew? It it's not flat tomorrow night I need to get some tire glue so that I can glue it back on. I'll use all of the fancy glueing tricks that Curtis showed me.
