Not much blogging lately. Sorry all. Ball's worried that I may be depressed! When I got the cold/flu I was in no mood for blogging and any Computer Time was spent working. Then I floated into some very productive work days. But the cold medicine messed up my sleep cycle to the point that I'm up until 4:30AM almost every night. I seem to sleep for a few hours, get up and work for a few hours and then take a long nap. Eventually I need a steady morning swim workout to set things straight. But at the moment I'm enjoying the non-type-a training regimen of the winter months.
Post-race November has already been better than last year's. I've gotten in some good longer workouts and don't feel that I'm losing as much fitness. That said, I haven't been in the pool in a month. Which means I haven't rocked my abs with my patent-pending walking-out-of-the-gym-fifteen-minute-ab-workout. From a loosely-defined six pack to a four pack to a two pack to a doughy ball in a month... not bad.
Definitely not going to lose as much fitness this year but also definitely going to make sure that I have some Yin to my on-season training Yang. I'm working on a 2006 tri season summary. So far I've collected the numbers from all my data sources and compiled them into a gross picture. Now I need to go month-by-month and really figure out what happened. It's more time-consuming than I figured it would be... but I think it'll be worth it.
Ava is incredible. Hardly enough time to blog her and take pictures these days. She's a force to be reckoned with. Learning new things all the time. And a full personality blooming. She's amazing.
Leveled my World of Warcraft character to 20 after months of stagnation at level 17. It's odd... I spend a lot of time looking at the WoW icon while code is compiling or updating. I always want to get addicted to it, or another game, to balance my computer time and make some of it more fun. Balance thing again.
Diet lately? Not so much. Lots of random food. I'm digging the soft frosted holiday cookies from Kroger. And the Parmesan Basil Wheat Thins with Rachel Ray on the front. Of course, what *doesn't* have Rachel Ray on the front of it these days? I caught a glimpse of her smiling face as I went to wipe this morning.
Work? Going well. Starting to release the product to individuals close to us. Getting good feedback so far. Still need to write the patent application. Ugh. That's gonna take a lot of work but I have to do it. Then some pre-sales and then finally I'll be able to launch. One of the big reasons for my lack of blogging quality in the last four months is this project. It takes up all of my time. And I can't discuss it until I get it patented and launched. So there's this big thing that I can't share. But the blog is about me. Do the math. My blogging sucks lately.
Digging the show Heroes. I didn't watch it at first but dl'd about 7 episodes and watched them all while riding the stationary bike over a couple weeks and now I'm into it.
The minivan is suffering, just 350 miles out of warranty. Need to get it into a mechanic.
So are my teeth. Got a cavity in the back and need to get it into a mechanic... er... dentist.
That's about it for now. Sorry for the slow posting lately. I suspect that the Great Late Oh Six Blogging Hiatus will continue for a little while longer. And the Slow Degredation of Joereger.com Quality will also continue for a few more months. But it'll all come back. When I get frustrated I think of things in terms of my life. In 50 years am I really going to miss hourly updates for late 2006? Probably not. It's a long-term thing.
Over and out everybody! Thanks for the email, IM and blog comment love! And happy holidays!
